Amwaj Beach Cleanup Brings Community Together for a Greener, More Inclusive Future

This weekend, the Nadeen School community came together for a meaningful and impactful Beach Cleanup Day at the beautiful shores of Amwaj.
With the support of Nadeen School’s dedicated families, staff, and learners, they rolled up their sleeves to help protect the local environment and raise awareness about the importance of preserving our precious marine ecosystems.
The beach cleanup was not just about removing litter, it was about fostering a sense of community, responsibility, and care for the world around us. These are core Nadeen School values that they promote throughout their learning community, and as a High Performance Learning (HPL) school, they embed them in everything they do to help learners grow into compassionate, proactive global citizens.
The Nadeen School would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Heidi Solba, President and Head of the Global Network at World Cleanup Day, for her warm and inspiring message to the Nadeen family. Her words served as a powerful reminder that local actions can have global significance, and that we are all connected in the mission to protect and preserve our shared environment.
This event was a celebration of what we believe in: sustainability, environmental education, and community action. Through initiatives like this, their learners not only contribute to a cleaner planet, but also develop vital personal and social skills such as:
