Bahrain Walks to Enjoy Before the Summer Heat Arrives
Family Fun | Date: 7 May 2026 | Location: Manama
The temperatures are rising, which means now is the perfect time to make the most of Bahrain’s outdoor spaces before summer fully kicks in.
Whether you’re looking to get your steps in, tire out the kids, enjoy a sunset stroll or simply swap screen time for fresh air, these are some of Bahrain’s best walking spots to enjoy right now.
Karzakan Forest Walk
One of Bahrain’s most unique hidden gems (see image), Karzakan Forest feels worlds away from the busy city streets. Surrounded by greenery and shaded pathways, it’s one of the few places on the island where you can enjoy a more natural walking experience. It’s especially lovely in the early mornings or just before sunset and makes a refreshing change from Bahrain’s waterfront walks.
Water Garden City & Seef Waterfront
Modern, clean and family-friendly, the walkways around Water Garden City and Seef have quickly become a favourite for evening exercise and relaxed strolls. The marina-style setting, calm water views and wide pedestrian areas make it ideal for walking with children, catching up with friends or fitting in an evening step count before dinner.
The Forest Walk at Al Areen Wildlife Park
If you’re looking for a quieter outdoor escape, the forest walk at Al Areen Wildlife Park is worth the drive. With more greenery, open space and a calmer atmosphere, it’s a lovely option for families and bird watchers, wanting to reconnect with nature before the hotter months arrive. Pack water, head out later in the day and enjoy one of Bahrain’s most peaceful outdoor spots. You will find diverse flora and fauna in a 10sq km protected reserve.
Bahrain Bay Waterfront
One of the most scenic walks in Bahrain, the Bahrain Bay promenade is perfect for both exercise and family evenings outdoors. The wide waterfront paths are ideal for walking, jogging, scooters and bikes, while the skyline views make sunset walks especially beautiful. Start near The Fishmarket restaurant and continue along the bay for one of the city’s best golden-hour routes.
Budaiya Beach Walk
For a more laid-back coastal walk, Budaiya Beach offers sea views, fresh air and a peaceful atmosphere away from the city rush. It’s a great spot for families wanting an easy evening outdoors, with plenty of space for children to run around while parents enjoy the cooler sea breeze. Bring a coffee, catch the sunset and enjoy Bahrain at a slower pace.
Trainers on, phones away and fresh air while we still can.
